Ms. Janeé McFadden

Ms. McFadden is a highly respected higher education leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing student success, equity, and engagement. Since joining Montgomery College, she has served in several key leadership roles, including Interim Associate Senior Vice President for Student Success and Engagement, Interim Dean of Student Affairs at the Rockville Campus, Collegewide Dean of Student Engagement, and Dean of Student Affairs at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. In these roles, she has provided strategic leadership for counseling and advising, disability support services, TRIO programs, veterans services, athletics, student life, and wellness initiatives while helping strengthen holistic student supports across the College.

Ms. McFadden has also played a significant role in advancing key institutional priorities. Her contributions include serving on the College's Achieving the Dream team, strengthening student conduct processes, and developing internal controls that support compliance with federal requirements.
Prior to joining Montgomery College, Ms. McFadden held leadership, teaching, and advising positions at Johns Hopkins University; the University of Maryland, College Park; and the University of Rhode Island. She is also deeply committed to serving the broader community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Future Link, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping first-generation and underrepresented students thrive in higher education and beyond. Her leadership and commitment to student success have been recognized with numerous honors, including the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award, Montgomery College's Outstanding Staff Award, and Montgomery College's Outstanding Administrator Award.

Ms. McFadden earned a Master of Science in college student personnel from the University of Rhode Island and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Spelman College.
